I bought this for my dining room and it worked out perfectly. It was well packaged and arrived in perfect condition. The light was easy to install -- my husband and I have replaced a few lighting fixtures in our day so we were able to do it despite the minimalist instructions. If you have never replaced a light fixture before, just find a tutorial on the internet and that should cover you. A tip that helped for me: I had to cut the cord shorter so I carefully picked the ground, live, and neutral stickers off the 3 wires and replaced them on the newly cut wire ends so the hubs could see what was what as he was installing (the wires are clear and the difference between the 3 is not easy other than very close up).Super happy I bought this piece.

I bought this in August and I am very happy with it. It's sturdy, seems well made, and my electrician had no problem hooking it up to the dimmer. One thing to note is that it is meant to provide light on the dining room table, not to light up the entire room.
